Microneedling and Radio Frequency combine together to provide an advanced method of skin rejuvenation, that changes the structure of skin tissue, particularly collagen and elastin. 

 

Because this treatment stimulates the body’s natural healing process and encourages collagen production in the skin’s dermal layer, the result is rejuvenated and tightened skin.

We love that the needles are ultra-fine, causing less discomfort, and that the machine’s motor and vacuum settings ensure smooth, precise and consistent needle insertion into the skin.

What Results Can Be Expected?

The skin will take on a more plump appearance, due to the increase thickness of the dermal layer. This, in turn, improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Pigmentation will improve and the general appearance of the skin will be brighter. Stretch marks and loose skin will improve with a course of treatments.

 

 

What Happens During a Treatment?

We consult with you and look at your skin condition, whilst listening to you about your needs.

The skin is cleansed and then the needle head is moved across the area that needs to be worked. A slight vacuum of skin is held against the needle head. The needles are inserted into the skin, as a ‘gliding in’ effect.

Radio frequency energy is delivered through the gold-plated, insulated needles, allowing precise delivery into the epidermis and dermis of the skin. You may feel a slight heat and pressure from the needle head.

 

We are able to adjust the depth of the needles and do not go beyond 2.5mm. We usually begin with a 0.5mm and then a 2nd pass across the skin at 1mm, but we will adapt on the day.

The number 1 question is will it hurt?  The answer is that there will be some discomfort but it should not be really painful. 

If you are concerned, you are able to purchase your own numbing cream (Emla) from a chemist. You would need to apply this, as per the manufacturer's instructions, 30-45 minutes before your treatment with us.
